A December Swing

The weather was finally warm enough for me to enjoy my
swing one more time.  Sayler spent some time
enjoying the sandbox.  God bless these warm winter days.

Sledding Time

It was a great day to finally play in the snow.  The ground was white the air was cold, but the sun was shinning down on us keeping us warm.  It was one of Sloaney's first times in the snow, and she loved it for about 45 minutes.  We did make time to go down the street to sled down the park hill a couple times.  It was one of the best days of the long winter months.

Sloane, can you see the individual snow flakes?

This snow is hard to walk in.

But, soft to fall in.

This was one of my greatest adventures
through the Arctic desert.

It was sledding time after playing in the snow for a little bit.

The first trip down the hill was with Daddy pulling us.

Sayler tried to pull me up the hill.  We didn't
get too far.

Hard time climbing up this hill.

All the girls.

Me and Daddy went super fast.

Sledding magic.

Me and Sissy sledding down the hill.

Our second attempt.

Adventures of Kate - 2014

Kate was never properly introduced last year.   She is our elf who watches over us, and reports back to Santa on us being naughty or nice.  For the most part we were nice.  We did have our days where one of us was naughty.  Some of those days we were both naughty.  There was one day when we were so bad that Kate didn't have enough magic to make it back.
This was one of the most special Christmas' ever.

Kate's back!

She was just hanging around the next day.

She snuck into the cookie jar.

We found her in a Christmas stocking the next morning.

Kate was trapped in
this glass vase.

Everybody had a hard time
finding Kate here.

Kate was reading a story to some of our play friends.

Brrr!! Kate was cold today.

Kate getting another eagle
eye on us.

We thought she made a great
Christmas tree topper.

Kate was filing away paperwork
today.

Silly Kate, your disguise
didn't fool us.

She was pretending to fish here.

Looks like she got into a
little trouble.

It was a bright idea to sit up
here to watch over me at nap time.

Did someone mail Kate in a Christmas card?

She was hanging on for dear life all day.

She hid herself in my Christmas wreath.

She tied to hide in the blinds, but
Sloane found her right away. She might have "mooned"
our mailman on the other side of the blinds!

Kate was practicing riding Rudolf.

Super Kate is here to save Christmas.

The Lego people were carrying Kate away.

She made a sleigh for her last ride home of the year.
See you next year, Kate!

Cookie Monsters!

Today we made Christmas cookies with Mommy.  Well, they weren't your traditional "christmas" shaped cookies, but they were fun animal shapes!

Mama rolled out the dough and I helped cut the cookies out

Hmm, I'm not really sure what to do with these,
but I sure like this cookie dough - glad Mommy and Sissy
introduced me to it!
(Don't worry people, there were no raw eggs in the dough)

Mmm, don't mind me - I have a mouth full of dough!

Betty Crocker and Martha Stewart

Some frosting...

Some sprinkles...

and voila!  Our cookies were complete!
Nothing says Christmas like Moose, Beer, Hedgehog, Snail, Fox and Squirrel cookies!

Next step...taste testing!

I think Sloane liked them!

Happy Birthday Jesus Party!

Today we celebrated Jesus at my school with a Happy Birthday Jesus Party!

First things first - presents!
This year I had fun making gifts and cards for my teachers
These were easy peasy.
Some clear ornaments, some paint, shake, tie a ribbon
...and presto - Cool Ornaments!

This was one of my favorite ornaments for one of my favorite teachers!

Mommy and I also got crafty with homemade cards.
My favorite was the Santa card...partly because I got to eat
marshmallows while making it!

a little note inside, with my John Hancock, aka my signature:)
(I think I'm getting pretty good at signing my name!)

This party was my first introduction to singing programs...
let's just say - I'm not a fan of singing in front of a large group
(you can probably tell by the look on my face)
But, Mommy & Daddy did bribe me by holding up a bag of skittles half way through the show, in which I decided to humor then by shaking a bell during Jingle Bells!

I was much happier once the singing program part was over!

Me & my Mama!

Here Sloaney, have a cookie!

Thanks Sis, nom - nom:)
