Happy Birthday Avery

Happy Birthday Avery.  I'm glad we got to come over and celebrate with you.  Having to brave through all that snow - we had over 20inches at our house, that's almost taller than me!  Mommy said the cake pops were delicious (and well worth the trek in the snow), and they tasted good as seconds when I got to them (if you know what I mean, hee hee).

The birthday girl on her 3rd birthday.
She sure is pretty.  I love the headband, so stylish!

I think Avery was looking at me thinking about when
she was this small.
Soon, she'll be helping me celebrate my 1st birthday.
I can't wait!

I wish it was my birthday.
Then I could cry if I want to, oh wait I am.

Since I was dressed up so cute today, Mommy thought it might
be a good opportunity to get a picture of just the two of us.
Look at my furry sweater (don't worry people it's faux fur)!

Reading Rainbow

So lately, I have been taking some time during my day to read books in my crib.  Sometimes I read in the afternoon, while sometimes I read in the morning.  There are times when I don't even read the words, and I just look at the pictures.  I have my favorite books, I have my books that teach me stuff, and there are books that have fun stories to follow.  I love all my books.

Just enjoying one of my favorite books.
(I like it because it's black and white with shiny things)

Excuse me Daddy, I'm trying to read my book.

Just another day, and another book.

As you can see, I'm learning about my colors.

Just reading my favorite book in my PJs.

So excited to read I couldn't get my pants on.

Hippie Bandana

Mommy decided to do something different than me just sitting in my chair.  I think a change was needed.  I am getting more mobile and learning to sit up by myself more and more everyday.  I think you are going to get to see me do a lot of new adventures in the coming months.

I'm coming to get you.

Twist and shout.

A little inappropriate, but isn't this the
Caption Morgan pose?

Looks like I was happy that day.

Really happy.

I look like I'm prancing around like Peter Pan.
Only if TinkerBell was here.

Maida's B-Day

Today we went over to my cousins' house for Maida's 1 year birthday party.  They had a nice spread, and there were plenty of kids for me to watch.  I'm really not big enough to play with other kids yet.  I think Maida and I are going to be great friends, considering she is only 8 months older than me.  I can't wait for Maida and Harper to come to my first birthday party.

My cousin Maida, the Happy Birthday girl and her Birthday cake.

I guess she couldn't decide which of the two cakes to eat.

After cake and presents Daddy asked if I
wanted to play the ukulele. (I said yes)

I pretty sure I'm going to be a natural at this.

We tried to take a family photo, but I got mad because I
 wanted that Ukulele back.

My cousin Harper in the beginning stages of dress up.
She's so splendiferous (that means fancy)!

Look at the two fashionistas.

Swing High, Swing Low

Daddy and I went for a walk today, but what made it cool was I got to sit in the baby bjorn so I got to see everything.  I saw playgrounds, streams, and bridges in which I could go under or walk over.  I saw little boys playing.  I saw other mommies sitting gossiping.  Daddy took me on my first playground (wish Mommy was there).  I went down my first slide (while I was in my baby bjorn)

Here is a picture of me swinging for my first time with Daddy.

I look a little happier in this photo.

Passed out cold after my first playground experience.

Me and My Besties

Daddy thought I should  be polite and introduce some of my best friends to everyone.  So, he decided to take some pictures of me and some of my friends.  I think he got carried away. (you'll see what I mean down below)
First it started with Patches (who you're probably all familiar with by now),
 Jelly the bear, and me.

Then Babar the elephant wanted to join in.

Then along came Rocket the pony.

When did Pinky the giraffe get here?

Peanutbutter Pickle Parsley the monkey wanted to sit on my lap.

Then my fairy dolly (who has yet to tell me her name)
poked her head into the picture.

Where's the baby?

It got kinda overwhelming when my owlys and
Malik Belafonte the monkey joined the party.

19 Weeks

It has been a rough couple weeks around the Bugga household.  First Daddy got sick with Strep Throat.  He was sick with that for 3 days or so, and he was boring during that time.  Supposedly, he was too tired to play with me.  It ended up being a lot of time on my play mat.  He also didn't talk much because his throat hurt so much.  I started to get lonely since he couldn't talk much.  This lead to some awesome Mommy time when she got home from work.  Once Mommy got home Daddy really turned into a bum.

The girls of the house got sick next.  I think we both got sick on the same day.  Mommy got Daddy's Strep Throat, and got some medication at urgent care.   She was awesome as usually, being the best Mommy in the world.  I on the other hand had my first emergency room visit.  Mommy and her motherly instincts kicked in when my eye got progressively worse in a matter of a couple hours.  She called my pediatrician, and she advised that we go to the ER, I guess the eyes are nothing to be messed with.  Twenty minutes later, and we were walking through the sliding glass doors of the hospital.

The ER was really efficient and very friendly to us.  After a short while they determined that I had Conjunctivitis (aka - Pink Eye) and a slight ear infection.  (I have no Idea where I would have gotten Pink Eye from)  Before you knew it we were out the hospital doors headed home.  The worst part came when I had to take that horrible medication.  I recovered fairly quick, but Mommy and Daddy still have lingering sore throats.

I was really into Patches today.
(Don't worry below was all pretend, I didn't really hurt him)
Here I am trying to put him into my mouth,
just like I want to put everything into my mouth.

I just did a Vulcan nerve pinch on Patches.

Now I'm going Matrix on Patches.

I'm only smiling because I'm still thinking about eating his ear.

What Daddy, I shouldn't eat Patches' ear?

At least my head was in focus.

I added this photo just to show you my sweet smile.

Just in case you didn't know, my Mommy and Daddy
love to put me in leg warmers!

It doesn't matter what I'm wearing,
because I'm still eyeing Patches ear.

Smiling buddies!

Man I'm tired.  I hope Mommy isn't bothered
that I just yawned out loud.  (inside joke, whatever that means)
