SeaWorld

I think today was every one's favorite day of the vacation.  It was SeaWorld day.  It was an amazing day with so many different interactions with sea animals.

First thing we saw was some dolphins.  There was this really neat pool that you could
walk right up to the edge and see the dolphins.  If you got lucky you might be able to pet one of them.

We on the other hand were not so lucky.  We didn't get to pet any dolphins, but one of them decided to splash us.  When I say splash us, I mean he got us good.  Daddy got it the worst, even knocked off his sunglasses.  Luckily Mommy was quick reacting and was able to shelter me from the wave.  I still got wet, but not as bad as it could have been.

At least I got to cool off a little.

This is a quick video of the dolphins swimming.

We looked at the tide pools next, but I was too little to hold anything.
Awe shucks.

Daddy holding up a star fish for me to see.

Hello mister turtle.

One of my reactions to a fishies.

I got to walk through a polar bear den.
I guess they were having a picnic,
since I didn't see any polar bears.

I saw a baby beluga drinking milk
from its mommy.

Beluga whale.

I think this seal was winking at me.

Mommy said that it looks like I
was slapping fins with Shamu.

Wow!

Hey kid, I don't know who you are, but did you
see that whale?

Look at Shamu jump.

I really enjoyed the Shamu show.  I was
really getting my clap on.  One of the
first times I really ever truly clapped.

Nice ride. Daddy can I get one?

Beach Time

I went to the beach for the morning. Mommy and Daddy took me and Avery to the beach while Avery's parents went on a kayak tour of sea caves.  I loved the beach, and playing in the sand.  I was all about getting messy and eating sand.  Mommy on the other hand was having a panic attack from me getting so dirty and trying to eat sand.  She was almost to the point where she was going to say no more beach until I'm older.  I would say that I got way dirtier than these pictures show.  Both Mommy and Daddy took me down to the ocean, and got me wet.  I think Daddy got me a little more wet then Mommy.  There was a scary moment when another baby ( I think she was a couple months older than me) got swept up the beach by a big wave.  Don't worry she was fine.  I guess her Daddy wasn't paying good enough attention.  Avery didn't want to go into the ocean all weekend.  That's alright, because she played with me in the sand.

I thought this was a peaceful picture of me playing in the sand
all by myself.

Not too happy, but not too sad.  I'm just
trying to figure out this shovel thing.

Oh, this is how the shovel works.

Daddy buried me half way in the sand.

 I'm a hot mess.

I'm so happy I love sand.

I was exhausted after my first
day at the beach.

I can't wait for tomorrow, because I get to go to Sea World!  I love fishies!

San Diego Zoo

On Saturday we all went to the world famous San Diego Zoo.  I say if you've seen one zoo you seen them all.  This zoo did have a couple cool things about it.  For one it had a Panda bear.  Panda's are extremely rare, and I guess there are only 12 Pandas in the US, so I may never see a panda again.

Look how cute this panda is.  This guys name was Gao Gao.

He looks a little less cute when he is showing his teeth.

Mommy, me, and the panda.
(Mommy says please don't judge the way her hair looks
in this picture, it was very humid!)

I was showing Avery my favorite fish.

I really like this one.

Daddy became friends with a
baby polar bear.

Polar bear butt.

I was pretending to be a seal, popping my head through the ice.

I learned about the serious issue with the polar ice cap melt.
Plus I got to touch Russia.

Quick photo with a panda.

Another cool thing about this zoo was the Skyfari Aerial tram.  I got to see a cool aerial view of the zoo.  Daddy was freaking out a little bit, because he thought I was going to jump out.

You can see how excited I was.

Goodbye zoo.

San Diego

Today was my first official vacation!  I flew on a plane for the first time ever.  Mommy and Daddy said I did great!  But, sounds like they found it more difficult than me...lots to bring along when you travel with me:)

California!

This is me waiting for my first airplane
ride ever.  I was so nervous I was
eating my sock.

I didn't sleep much on the plane, but once I
got in the car I was out.
(after a short read)

Mommy and me walking to the beach.  You can't see it in this
picture, but I was pumped.

Yuck sand!

I was looking for the Little Mermaid all weekend, but never saw her.

Avery and I weren't too sure about the ocean waves.

Daddy was so excited about the ocean.

And, I thought normal walking was hard,
walking on sand is impossible.
(Daddy says nothing is impossible)

Just waiting for the surf to come in.

Guess we waited too long (don't worry I didn't get wet).

Family beach photo.

Run family!

Mommy and my hair blowing in the ocean breeze.

Did someone say cheesy?!

The end of a beautiful first day in California.

Bye Bye Ear Infections

Sorry if I didn't tell everyone of my planned surgery, but I didn't want to worry any one (I was told that it was a simple easy peasy procedure).  I only had ear tubes put into each of my ears.  We got to Children's Hospital at 5:30 in the morning.  That means I had to wake up 90 minutes before my normal wakey wakey time.  At least I got to go back to sleep during the ride there.  The hospital was kinda neat because it had so many different things to explore and play with (Duh, it is a Children's Hospital).  The worst part is that we had to wait for hours before my doctor was ready.  During that time the nurses scared me, because I wasn't used to them.  At least I got to watch some of my favorite videos while I waited.  I cried and cried once the nurse took me from Mommy and Daddy.  Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy weren't with me anymore and I got some gas that knocked me out so I don't remember too much more.

I'm even cute in a hospital gown

I was pacing back and forth before
the operation.

Dance dance...dance.

The wait was so long, I had to bust out some toys.

Forget this, I'm out of here.

Fine I'll just take a nap.

Just a few minutes after my
surgery (notice the Wonder Woman
shirt, because I was strong).

There was a neat fish tank outside the surgery rooms, and it
inspired me for the rest of the day.

Less then an hour after and I was
safe at home in my room.

Wait until you see what we did the rest of the day.
